3rd January 2011 A number of exciting job vacancies have now been created within Castle Design Solutions. These opportunities are initially intended as part-time positions, providing a supplemental income, however, applicants wishing to do so may work on a full time basis. No previous marketing experience is necessary. However the succesful candidates must:
If you are interested in one of these opportunities please email Craig Spencer at craig@castledesignsolutions.co.uk for further information. The positions are self employed positions, working on a commission basis. Initially it is expected that these positions would be part-time positions that the successful applicants could undertake for 2 or 3 days a week. However, the potential exists for the right candidates to turn these positions into full-time positions, providing a good income. The main duties of the role will include advising local businesses of our web design, graphic design and search engine optimisation services. The role will also involve advising local businesses of the printing services offered by Castle Printing Solutions. The role will not involve any hard selling. We are very much a friendly web design company who works witrh our customers to provide affordable, value for money websites. The commission structure is extremely generous, and the successful applicants would receive commission from all orders taken from their designated postcodes, regardless of whether they had been in contact with those customers or not. In many ways, these roles will allow the candidates to work as often – or not – as they wish. However, as with any role, the more that you put into it then the more you will get out of it. Support will be provided in terms of marketing materials, leaflets, business cards and online training.
5th January 2011 Castle Design Solutions are pleased to announce that they have now launched pay per click advertising services for their customers. Pay per click advertising is a powerful advertising tool, and has many benefits over traditional online advertising methods. Budgets are set and managed by the advertiser rather than the supplier, and you remain in full control of your advertising campaign throughout the entire process. Advertising is done through a bidding process, with targeted adverts responding to keywords to attract the right visitors to your website. The pay per click advertising campaigns provide full feedback throughout the advertising campaign, so you are able to use trial and error to organise and set your bids and daily spending limits. Castle Design Solutions offers management services for pay per click advertising. All you have to do is tell us your advertising budget and we will manage the advertising campaign for you. We create the ads, set up the account, and then monitor the click through ratio to then adapt the bids and spending limits accordingly. We can offer full management campaigns which take care of the complete pay per click advertising campaign for you, or we can simply set the campaigns up and then pass the control panel over to you for full campaign maintenance. We charge competitive rates for our pay per click advertising management services. All rates are calculated on an individual basis as each campaign is unique. Please contact us for a detailed quotation to manage your pay per click advertising campaign.
6th January 2011 Bidvertiser, a supplier of pay per click advertising on the internet, are now offering all new customers the opportunity to recieve $20 of free advertising at the start of their advertising campaigns. There is no requirement to pay any initial deposit, and no obligation to ever use the paid service following the free trial. As we never offer third party services that we have not tried out ourselves first, we have recently conducted a trial with Bidvertiser for our own pay per click advertising campaign, which proved very successful in attracting visitors to our website. We also found that we were able to achieve clicks from visitors at a much lower cost than has been the case with other pay per click advertising providers. One word of caution. In order to receive the free $20 of advertising, you must click through to Bidvertiser on a banner that advertises the free trial. If you register with Bidvertiser without clicking on one of these links then you will not be eligible for the free trial. See further details at: www.castledesignsolutions.co.uk/marketing/pay-per-click/ This web page will explain in further detail how pay per click advertising works, and will also provide a relevant link to the Bidvertiser website for sign up.

We have used software made available by newsgroup Feedzilla and then adapted the design and content of the news feed to display internet industry news. We contemplated only displaying news directly related to the web design services that we offer ourselves, but took the decision to display all internet related news as this is designed to be a service to our website visitors. If you would like us to add a newsfeed widget to your website, with news relevant to your industry or interests, then please get in touch with us and we will be happy to quote for this service.

The content on the site will grow as more people get involved and follow it. So if you are a sports fan then pay them a visit at: http://itsnotlifeordeath.blogspot.com/ We thank you in anticipation of your support. Happy reading and debating!
9th January 2011 To paraphrase a famous quote: ‘There are lies, damned lies and search engine optimisation guarantees.’ It is a sad, but true, state of affairs that the world of search engine optimisation is full of companies who are willing to tell lies, fill your head with horror stories, and more importantly relieve your company of hard-earned cash, all in the name of empty promises that will never come to fruition. An even sadder fact is that website owners allow themselves to be easy targets through their own honest hopes and expectations. You take the plunge and decide to have a website designed. You get back the first design updates and already you are filled with excitement. You can see people logging into their computers, searching for your service, and then visiting your site and picking up the phone to you. Before you know it, your company is inundated with orders. Then your beautifully designed site goes live. You jump straight onto Google and start searching – and the bubble bursts! Your website is nowhere to be found. A couple of months later you finally find it, after continually hitting the next button and arriving at page 58 of Google. You are devestated! What can you do? One of the most common of the search engine optimisation deceptions is the phonecall that no doubt every website owner will receive at some point – “We can guarantee your company first page of Google for your chosen search phrases.” The phonecall will take place under the guise of a search engine optimisation service. Our advice at this point is to hang up the phone. No company can make any such guarantee! There are only 10 places available on any of Google’s first pages, and chances are there are a lot more than 10 companies who would very much like to be on that first page. The ONLY way of guaranteeing your company a link on the first page of Google is through pay per click advertising. It is pay per click advertising that these companies are selling you. Once your advertising budget is used up – and for some search terms this could happen within a handful of clicks – your link will disappear. What is worse, the companies who do this will take a sizeable part of your advertising budget in their own management fees, when a more reputable company would have done the same service for a fraction of the cost. We are not saying by any means that pay per click advertising is a bad thing. On the contrary, it is a valuable, and for some companies an essential, part of a good online marketing campaign. However, please do not believe anybody who tries to sell you pay per click advertising to improve your website’s search engine ranking! You can comment on this article on our Facebook Discussion Page, or even post an article of your own on any thoughts you have on web design, search engine optimisation, graphic design or web hosting. 24th January 2011 Castle Design Solutions is pleased to announce that it has just completed a new website for Spot Cars, vehicle hire service. Spot Cars are based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and when they decided that they needed a company to carry out website design they came to Castle Design Solutions. As the company will regularly be updating the fleet of cars that it offers for hire, they decided to purchase a content management system (CMS) that will allow them to carry out regular website updates with the minimum of fuss. The website has been designed to allow Spot Cars to easily add new photographs and descriptions each time that a new vehicle is added to the fleet. As part of this project, Castle Design Solutions also created a new company logo for the client. The graphic designers came up with the design of a luxury car overwritten with the company name. The new logo and subsequent web design process was carried out to reflect the prestige image of the client and their product. The design portrays a fresh, clean image, with the focus of the website’s homepage being the latest vehicle within their fleet. Once the graphic design team had come up with the perfect template for the WordPress CMS system, the web programmers created a website that is easy to use and very simple to navigate for the site visitors. The contact form on the homepage incorporates drop-down menus to make the enquiry process as user-friendly as possible. The web programmers at Castle Design solutions offer expert, professional content management system solutions and produce websites that any company would be proud to own. If your company is looking for a website that is easy to update on a regular basis, and incorporates the very highest standards in graphic design and web design, all at an affordable price, then why not get in touch with us today? The Spot Car’s website can be seen at: As well as our new logo design and web design services, Spot Cars are also taking advantage of our low cost web hosting facilities, and our fast and reliable webmail services. 4th January 2011 We have just finished a major revamp of our website.
